We are now looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer. We need your expertise in making sure Quuppa’s products meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. In the role of QA engineer you will contribute to all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices and developing new tools and processes to ensure we meet our quality goals. Specifying and running the test cases, as well as, designing, developing and running the system testing set-ups will be central parts of your work. Most of the test cases will be covered with automated tools, and for example the automation of user-level testing will be one of the tasks. However, manual testing will be used when seen necessary. As our products consist of parts ranging from battery-powered devices to positioning engine software and tools, the ideal candidate has experience from quality assurance of different types of products. 

As a QA engineer you have the opportunity to become the key point of contact for all aspects of QA for release cycles, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally. As a QA engineer at Quuppa, you will be a key contributor in establishing and developing formal QA processes for our industry leading positioning solutions.

Skills Needed to be successful in this role:

Primary:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in relevant roles in the area of system testing and continuous integration

    • Test engineer or application test developer could be a good background

  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).

  • Test scripts: Python, JavaScript, Linux shell scripting and similar

  • Test automation: Robot framework or similar

  • Capability and interest to install, deploy and maintain Quuppa’s test installations and systems

    • Mainly Linux (+Win, iOS)

    • Network protocols and infrastructure

  • Basic skills to interpret HW designs and to do HW prototype modifications

  • Self-driven and motivated to develop testing solutions for high quality and performance products, and for efficient product development.

Secondary:

  • Experience in C-programming language, Java

  • Bluetooth standard / protocol basics (minimum)

  • Basic knowledge of wireless communication systems

  • Hands-on development experience from one or more mainstream BLE chips and related SDK’s
